SOCCER WINTER CHAMPIONSHIPS

Mossgiel Park girls and boys have been training hard to prepare for their next match in the Soccer Winter Championships.

On the 5th August, both teams played against Mary McKillop Primary at Sweeney Reserve in Berwick.

The conditions were difficult as the grounds were wet and there was plenty of heavy rain. This did not stop the girls from winning by 5 goals with the final score at 7 – 2. The boys team played extremely well demonstrating very good skills and passing. Their endeavour to win the ball made all of us watching very proud. Unfortunately, they lost 2 – 1.

The girls will go on to play in the Regional finals next week. We wish them luck.

Hooptime

On the 19th of June 4/5V, 5/6B, 5/6W and 6CC took part in Hooptime. The competition was mixed girls and boys. It was an excellent event which helped to build  teamwork skills. I would like to thank the parents who coached the teams and supported our students throughout the day. Everyone had a great time.
